In 1935, at the age of 8, Andy Williams made his professional singing debut. He and his three brothers caught the attention of Bing Crosby, with whom they made the huge hit, Swinging on a Star. In 1962 he joined Columbia Records and recorded Moon River, which quickly became his signature tune, and began his hugely popular, long-running TV series, The Andy Williams Show. He went on to sell 100 million albums and headed the bill at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas for 20 years. In 1992 he built the Andy Williams Moon River Theatre in Branson, Missouri, where he played to 2000 people six nights a week for half of the year, until his death in 2012. His autobiography, Moon River & Me tells his remarkable story, from Iowa farm boy to superstardom.
