Paul Trynka is a journalist and a former editor of MOJO magazine. He has written on music, fashion and travel for Elle, The Wire, the Independent, the Guardian and many other titles. His books include Denim; Electric Guitar: An Illustrated History; Portrait of The Blues and Iggy Pop, Open Up and Bleed which was published to great critical and commercial acclaim in the UK and US. Starman, Paul’s biography of David Bowie, was published in spring 2011, and was described by Rolling Stone magazine as 'the most complete and compelling portrait of Bowie’s life ever assembled.'
Paul's most recent book, Sympathy for the Devil: The Birth of the Rolling Stones and the Death of Brian Jones (Transworld) draws on over a hundred interviews with some of the most important figures in music to disentangle the threads of the Rolling Stones story and put Brian Jones firmly in the foreground.
