Agent: Ben Clark
Tarn Richardson was raised in a remote farmhouse near Somerset on a diet of Tolkien, comics and ghost stories. He has worked as a copywriter, written mystery murder dinner party games and worked in digital media for nearly twenty years. He lives near Salisbury in England.
His debut novel, The Damned, (Duckworth Press) was published in 2015. A gripping work of dark fiction, it's the first in a trilogy featuring troubled inquisitor Poldek Tacit and set in an alternative World War One where werewolves roam and a ruthless Inquisition still holds sway.
Tarn's fast, frenetic and bloody second novel, The Fallen, (Duckworth Press) returns us to 1915 where the second battle of the Isonzo Front rages on the Italian Austro-Hungarian border and war threatens to engulf the Inquisition as dark forces muster amongst the most fanatical servants of the Catholic Church. It's an imaginative and deftly told tale.
His latest book, The Risen (Duckworth Press) is the final in The Darkest Hand trilogy. Long-buried secrets within the vaults of the Vatican are unveiled and mankind's hopes of redemption from the forces of evil hang by a single, precarious thread.
